Through innovative engagement and problem solving strategies, community partnerships, and technology, the ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏPD has driven a substantial reduction in crime that fosters a safe living and learning community.
Our strategy includes broad scale lighting assessments and enhancements, upgrades to physical security, including a "Cameras for Safety" program with more than 2,400 cameras, and Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) assessments for new construction and existing buildings. These efforts, along with a variety of safety and security related programs and services, have resulted in significant crime reduction on campus.
