Welcome to the Department of Engineering Management and Systems Engineering (EMSE) at ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ!

Whether you are a prospective student, an industry professional, or an academic partner, we are delighted to have your interest in our department. EMSE is proud to offer a diverse and rigorous portfolio of graduate programs that are designed to meet the evolving needs of engineers, managers, and leaders in complex technical environments.

Our department offers two distinct doctoral programs: a Ph.D. in Engineering Management, which emphasizes research and scholarly contribution, and a Doctor of Engineering (D.Eng.) in Engineering Management, a practice-oriented program tailored for professionals seeking to lead large-scale engineering and technology-based organizations. At the master’s level, students can choose among three programs—M.S. in Engineering ManagementMaster of Engineering Management (MEM), and M.S. in Systems Engineering—each designed to equip graduates with the skills to address complex engineering, organizational, and operational challenges. In addition, we offer three specialized graduate certificate programs for those seeking targeted professional development.

A key strength of our programs is flexibility. All of our degrees are available online, enabling working professionals from around the globe to advance their education without interrupting their careers. Whether you prefer synchronous interaction or asynchronous access, our delivery modes are designed to meet your learning needs.

Our faculty bring deep and diverse expertise in areas such as systems modeling and simulation, decision analysis, risk and reliability, project management, organizational behavior, supply chain systems, and complex system integration. Our interdisciplinary and application-focused research continues to support innovation in defense, healthcare, transportation, energy, and more.

At EMSE, we are committed to helping you grow into a leader who can navigate uncertainty, drive change, and deliver impact in technical organizations. I invite you to explore our programs, connect with our faculty, and join a vibrant learning community dedicated to excellence in engineering management and systems thinking.
