Dr. Yvette Pearson, winner of the ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ Women's Caucus' 2018 Woman of the Year Award
The ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ Women's Caucus recently presented its 2018 Woman of the Year Award to Dr. Yvette Pearson, Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies Department. Colleagues who wrote letters of support for Dr. Pearson's nomination mentioned her "long list of contributions to the advancement of women at ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ in numerous ways through her work with the Caucus, as Chair of Philosophy and Religious Studies, as Interim Chair of Women's Studies, and as a mentor to women across campus."
Dr. Brendan O'Hallarn, Lecturer in the Communication & Theatre Arts Department, was recently named the University Advisor of the Year. Dr. O'Hallarn is the faculty advisor for the ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), an organization that promotes careers, networking, and education in the PR field.
