Encourage Eligible Undergraduate Students to ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ for Gilman and Gilman-McCain Scholarships
Dear Colleagues,
We ask for your help in encouraging eligible students to apply for the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship and the Gilman-McCain Scholarship—two impactful funding opportunities that make study abroad more accessible for underrepresented and financially eligible students.
Gilman Scholarship

Gilman-McCain Scholarship:
-
For child dependents of active duty U.S. military personnel
-
Must be a U.S. undergraduate receiving Title IV federal financial aid
-

Students should not apply on their own. Instead, they should:
1. Contact the Study Abroad Office to identify the study abroad program they want to apply to.
2. Contact the Office of International Collaborations (OIC) at oic@odu.edu for Gilman Scholarship application guidance, and essay support.
Gilman application deadlines are in October and March, while Gilman McCain has several application deadlines every year.
